Our Commitment
The American Academy of Functional Health (“AAFH”) is committed to making this practitioner directory accessible and usable for as many people as reasonably possible, including people with disabilities.
We aim to design, develop, and maintain the Directory in substantial alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
Accessibility is considered as part of the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of the website.
Accessibility Measures
We seek to incorporate accessibility practices including:
- clear and consistent page structure;
- semantic headings and page landmarks;
- readable text and appropriate color contrast;
- visible labels for form fields and controls;
- keyboard-accessible navigation and interactive elements;

Practitioner Search and Map Accessibility
The Directory may provide practitioner information through both geographic/map-based features and non-map search results.
Because interactive maps are inherently visual and may present accessibility limitations, practitioner information should also be made available through accessible text-based listings wherever reasonably practicable.
Visitors should not be required to rely exclusively on a map to obtain basic practitioner information such as:
- practitioner name;
- location;
- professional information;
- contact information; and
- links to the practitioner's website or other available contact methods.
Approximate location functionality is intended to assist with practitioner searches and is not intended to prevent visitors from searching the Directory through other available methods.
Compatibility
The Directory is designed for use with current versions of commonly used web browsers, operating systems, and assistive technologies.
Accessibility may vary depending upon:
- the browser being used;
- device settings;
- operating system;
- assistive technology;
- browser extensions; or
- third-party content or services.
We encourage users to keep browsers and assistive technologies reasonably current where possible.
Third-Party Content and Websites
The Directory may contain links to websites, scheduling platforms, maps, patient portals, social-media pages, or other services operated by independent practitioners or third parties.
AAFH and iCare Digital Health Solutions LLC do not control the accessibility of independent third-party websites or services.
Once a visitor leaves the Directory, the accessibility practices of that third-party service apply.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the Directory may not always be fully accessible to every user or assistive technology.
Potential limitations may include:
- interactive mapping functionality;
- third-party embedded content;
- third-party widgets or services;
- certain older browser or device combinations; or
- temporary accessibility issues introduced through website updates.
Where we identify accessibility barriers within functionality under our control, we will make reasonable efforts to evaluate and address them.
Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing process.
We may periodically review and update the Directory as technology, accessibility standards, website functionality, and user needs evolve.
Our goal is to improve accessibility over time while maintaining the functionality and security of the Directory.
